NI Environment week 2026 is fast approaching and as we do each year; we are asking our members to hold events throughout the week. The theme for this year’s Environment Week is Species Recovery. We are keen to have a broad range of events for the public throughout NI Environment Week to showcase our species and nature rich heritage and the importance of species recovery in NI. Events could be training activities, talks, guided walks, volunteering opportunities or anything else that you feel is appropriate. They could focus on specific species, a specific site or specific landscape. We are keen that species & nature recovery groups, environmental organisations, NIEL members, partner organisations and councils have events across NI throughout this week.
